Why: McDonalds continues to grow but I don't think that they will be able to be a threat to Starbucks. People will pay the extra money to get great coffee instead of going to a nasty McDonalds like the one's in Anderson.

What: The sales of the Playstation 3 more than doubled when the price was cut $100. It sold more than 100,000 consoles in a week. Now their sales are competing with the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's XBOX 360.
Why: Sony was getting killed in sales by Nintendo and Microsoft but the recent price cuts puts them in contention with the others. Sales will continue to rise and bring them closer to their competitors.

What: Lloyd Carr will announce his retirement as the head football coach at the University of Michigan. He coached 13 seasons, winning a national championship and 5 Big Ten titles. He has a record of 121-40.
Why: Losing the last 4 times to Ohio State is completely terrible in terms of Michigan fans. This brought great pressure to him announcing his retirement.

What: A state trooper chases a car with two teens, 17 and 18, in it and got up to speeds of 120 mph. The 17 year old was killed while the 18 year old was seriously injured. The car became airborne and flipped several times.
Why: Teens are dumb. Plain and simple. Why try to outrun the cops?

Why: I think this is a great marketing idea becaue it shows that Jim Irsay wants to get the fans more involved or make people fans who are not currently.
